we love ~ summer trends 2011

This post is a collection of the trends and activities I believe are a necessity for the upcoming summer of 2011, I can't wait! :)

Any form of denim is a wardrobe must-have, especially denim dresses or shirts! | parties, nights out and good times with friends are most important | a little bit of formal attire for those nights out on the town <3



Add some adventure to your summer days with exciting activities | a pop of colour makes an average outfit eye-catching | ensure some special memories are made with those special friends in your life | cake! everybody needs cake :)



Cocktails on a hot summers evening is the perfect way to end a hot summers day spent on the beach | chunky heels for those warm sultry nights out dancing the night away are just right | beautiful, feminine hair accessories add sparkle to any outfit.

Days spent hiking, walking, or playing games on the beach are the best when spent with friends and family <3

This summer, not only are jumpsuits hot hot hot, but so are polka dots! get them, in any colour! | add that feminine touch to your dresses (or shorts or skirts or tops) with a touch of lace

pleats are so beautiful this summer, not only in black but pastel colours especially | flowers make your home/work look and smell beautiful and brighten up any mood <3

prints are gorgeous this summer in tops and dresses | gladiator sandals are an obvious must-have :)

we love ~ leopard print

We all know I have a love for anything leopard print - leggings, heels, headbands, anything!
Leopard print has slowly been coming back into the shops, and finally its here in a big way! Woolworth's has scarves, YDE has harem pants, Mr Price has blouses, and they are all too gorgeous for words.
Its not as outrageous as it seems - pairing a leopard print scarf with leggings and a leather jackets is a great winter outfit. Or leopard print heels with a simple outfit is so cute for a night out :)

we love ~ head bands

Headbands are so beautiful and feminine, and can act as the perfect finishing touch to any outfit - day or night. Wearable throughout both the summer and winter seasons - they are a must-have :) You can even make you own!

Headbands and Hairpieces

Seen all over the cast of Gossip Girl, featured on Zoey Deschanel and who could forget: Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the City, this is the accessory of the season girls. Be they headbands, flower clips, hats or other decorative eccentric objects, these are the accessories that summer outfits cannot go without in 2010.

There are many different types of hair accessories in fashion today, hats, headbands, clips, pins, real flowers and fake flowers made from stones and fabric, hair combs, and hair extensions. These accessories add certain flair to outfits; they add that extra bit of class to a formal outfit or make a statement to a quirky outfit, or simply add a feminine touch to a flirty summer dress.

 A must have summer accessory girls, so get scouting!
