I bought this dress at China Town in Ottery, Cape Town. It was a bargain at R100, and is definitely one of my favourite summer dresses. The style makes it so easy to just throw on and go....
China Town is a great place to go for bargain shopping - they have dresses, tops, coats, bags, anything you can think of, for super affordable prices :)

the R1 per wear rule

While blog surfing I stumbled across this beautiful piece of information: the R1 (or $1) per wear rule ....
basically you take the

price of item÷ by number of times worn= true cost!

This is just the information I needed so as to be able to justify my pricey purchases! :)
So technically my R600 MaxMara blazer already only cost me about R60, amazing! ;)

Lady Cupcake - best cupcakes in Cape Town

This weekend I decided to go and have a look at the new City Bowl Market in Hope Street, Gardens in Cape Town. It was a fantastic experience, the food was absolutely amazing, the atmosphere relaxed and perfect for a lazy Saturday morning. The people were friendly, and oh the cupcakes.....!

) on the far left was my favourite :)

I opted to buy the red velvet cupcake - it is honestly, hands down the most delicious cupcake I have ever eaten. The frosting was so creamy and delicious, oh my gosh!

Only half left which lasted about five minutes more.... :)

The Brazilian Blow Dry

Last week when I was having a hair treatment done at my hairdresser, she asked me if I had ever considered having a Brazilian Blow dry done to my hair. I was completely confused as I had never heard of it before.

Basically the Brazilian Blow dry doesn't completely straighten the hair; you hair will still have volume and body and can still be worn curly or wavy. It simply softens whatever wave or curl you have already.

So, if you blow dry your hair, it will still have wave or curl but absolutely no frizz! But don't worry, you can still straighten your hair, and the best part is that it'll take about a fraction of the time do do so!

Something else my hairdresser told me is that there is no obvious 'line of demarcation' - which means that when your hair grows out there is no obvious difference between the treated hair and the new growth.

I am going for this treatment sometime in the next week or so, so I'll do some before and after photos.

I have very very frizzy hair and cant leave the house without having used my GHD, so fingers crossed the Brazilian blow dry works :)
