I wore one of my flea market purchases today - yes I added ANOTHER dress to my collection :) It was such a bargain price I just couldnt resist!

CHALLENGE .... day 11 ... Princess Jasmine

My posts seem to be getting later and later, life is just crazy at the moment with 2 jobs, blogging, organising visas for Thailand, madness! But better late then never ;)

So.... MY CAMERA IS WORKING AGAIN! So no more begging and borrowing and bribing people to take photos for me - I can do it myself again, (YAY)!
Now that I've gotten that off my chest - Today I wore my 'Princess Jasmine' pants aka Harem pants. I love the pair I have because they are so versatile - they can be worn with slops and a t-shirt as I did for a casual day running errands, visiting friends, relaxing etc, or can be dressed up with a tight vest, some black pumps and nice jewellery for a night out for cocktails etc.

CHALLENGE ... day 9 .... Better late than never!

I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry! I have had the craziest few days and haven't had a chance to upload photos! However I have taken them and they are in the process of, so please bare with me :)
This dress I had COMPLETELY forgotten about and found it faaaaar at the back of my (messy) cupboard.
I didn't pose particularly well in these photos - so you cant really get a sense of how the dress falls without my hands in my pockets. But its one of my favourite finds, because it so comfy and casual, yet a clean and pretty look. Plus I love pockets in dresses, gives them a funky edge. Also the embroidery on it is so beautiful, don't you agree?

CHALLENGE ... day 8 ... Beach!

Today was about 33 degrees so I basically spent the day in the sea :)
So today I am uploading a photo of my mis-matched two-piece, and the dress I threw over when I was not in the water....



I love wearing mis-matched bikini's - I hardly ever buy a matching 2-piece. I paired this set together beacuse the little bit of pink in the bottoms matches the bright pink top perfectly!




My poor phone camera quality doesn't clearly show the colours of these bottoms, but they are much brighter. The print also has bits and pieces of glitter which sparkles in the sun :)




I still love my little leopard print dress - its so light and summery!




Paired agin with my favourite vintage belt ....

CHALLENGE ... day 7 ... Lazy Sunday

Today I had the most amazzzzzingly lazy Sunday: Huge Sunday lunch and a walk on the beach, was too lovely!
Was a rather overcast and rainy day; it called for tights and yes... my new cardigan ;) Just a comfy, practical getup for a rainy day that isn't being spent on the couch!

 My cardigan is so nice to wrap myself up with :)

I'm starting to find things in my wardrobe that i haven't worn in months thanks to this challenge..... for instance - the strapless black top I'm wearing, that was totally MIA!
Hope you like it ladies, I have been going very simple and minimalist this weekend; no need for the 'city' glamour here in our little holiday town :) But on Tuesday its back to the city :)

CHALLENGE ... day 6 ... Holiday Fun

Today I spent the day with my mom having lunch in Plett and then went for a lovely walk on the beach. It was the most amazing weather and I wish I'd taken my costume along because the water was so deliciously warm! Just a simple summer dress for a beautiful summers day with the parental :)

CHALLENGE ... day 5 ... Sisterly Inspiration by the Sea (Part1)

Arrived in Knysna (along the Garden Route) and feeling so relaxed. Went out for breakfast this morning with my two oldest friends (aka sisters), was too lovely. Think: lattes, french toast.... too delish!

We had a mini 'photo shoot' after breakfast by the water, how beautiful is the setting? Much better than my bedroom, that's for sure.

I felt like going very casual and relaxed today. It was slighter cooler, thank goodness, and so I just threw on a light cardigan.
The cream cardigan is from Woolworths (I like buying the larger sizes for the 'boho' look), my very simple top is from Truworths from years ago, and those tatty denim shorts (that are barely there) are my 544 Levi's from about 7 years ago that I cropped myself (I know they are looking very worn out, but I cant bring myself to throw them away).
My earrings are from Sitting Pretty in Longstreet - I wear either earrings or a necklace, never both, hence the real simplicity of this outfit.
And my slip slops are from Mr Price :)

Don't you think Knysna is just too beautiful??

CHALLENGE ... day 4 ... Classic White Shirt

Today I felt like putting in a little bit of effort....I generally hate wearing waist-high belts cos I find them so uncomfortable, but today was an exception :)

The white shirt is from Vertigo, my belt is vintage and my shoes are from YDE. It was clearly a windy day as can be seen from the messy hair! :)

I am having a little weekend break and going home for the weekend, spend some time with my mom and old friends - lazy lunches, beaching etc. So I'll be sure to take some photos in a slightly more interesting setting!

CHALLENGE.... Day 3 ... Who says you can have too much of a good thing?

Today was a scorcher in Cape Town, so it was most definitely a 'dress day' :) Some of you may be wondering about the name behind the post.... well if you MUST know, I actually own the dress seen in the photo below in 3 different colours: the coral and then in champagne and navy blue. I just fell in love with the style  and its so so comfortable and no fuss!

 I'm sorry for not wearing shoes but it was just too hot. That's also the reason I couldn't bring myself to wear jewellery of any sort :) I did however add a bow in my hair to dress up a little :)
After running around in Cape Town heat, I was so hot and frazzled I decided to crop my face out of this one, haha! Sorry ladies, little bit of vanity there :)
Anyway, hope you like the dress (and don't worry, I did wear shoes while out in public)

CHALLENGE ... day 2 ... Lady in Green

And so its day 2.... I fell out of bed this morn, still half asleep and grabbed the first dress I saw, threw on a cardigan and drove to the shopping centre to get my car washed and my shopping addiction satisfied :)

I hardly ever wear this dress, I always forget about it! But I do absolutely love the colour! The label is Skint and I got it from a flea market stall. My cardigan is from JayJays's - I love it because its so versatile and can be worn with dresses, leggings, shorts, anything!
